Facilitating wildfire hazard reduction, wildlife habitat conservation and ecological improvement of the Wild Urban Interface (WUI) using Silvicultural methods. 

Hundreds of thousands of acres in San Diego County that are classified as Very High Fire Hazard Severity zones. This is due to the undisturbed brush/dead-tree-limb buildup in open spaces. 

Operation: The Tree Culture Institute is demonstrating the effectiveness of simple silvicultural techniques that rely on in-place management of the existing vegetation without the use of chemical poisons, heavy machinery or prescribed burning.
